ABOUT
Las Nubes is a coffee born from collaboration, experimentation, and a deep respect for the land. Sitting high in the mountains of Pereira at 2,000 meters above sea level, the farm spans three immaculate hectares of Geisha, Wush Wush, and Pink Bourbon—varieties prized for their elegance and complexity. When I first visited Las Nubes in the summer of 2022 with our roaster Hayden, it was clear this place was something extraordinary. Its state-of-the-art processing lab and experimental fermentation methods were unlike anything else in the region.

In late 2024, as the owners prepared to sell the farm, we were given the rare opportunity to personally oversee the harvest. Together with the Las Nubes team, we managed fermentation curves, drying times, and selection processes to craft this exceptional Natural Pink Bourbon—our most hands-on coffee to date. The experience allowed us to engage directly with every stage of production, from cherry selection to drying under the Risaralda sun.

The farm’s surrounding ecosystem is alive with biodiversity, including a family of howler monkeys that guard and roam the land. Their presence speaks to the balance between nature and cultivation that defines Las Nubes. That harmony translates directly into the cup: rich notes of cocoa and hazelnut ground the profile, while vibrant strawberry and bright clementine bring an unexpected, joyful lift.

This microlot is more than a coffee—it’s a reflection of curiosity, craft, and connection. A coffee that carries not only the flavor of the mountains but the memory of being there—among the clouds, the sound of the howlers, and the promise of what coffee can be when it’s grown and guided with intention.
