ABOUT
Doña Duglas Molina’s coffee isn’t just a product of the land—it’s a testament to resilience, precision, and the deeply rooted power of family. Grown on her farm El Cielo, perched in the lush highlands of Villa Corzo, Chiapas, this lot captures everything that makes Mexican coffees special: clean sweetness, nutty depth, and a story that sticks with you long after the last sip.

Duglas began her journey into coffee in 2016 with no formal background, just a passion for the land and a dream shared with her husband, Eddy. Together, with the help of their children, they built El Cielo into more than a farm—it’s a legacy in motion. She’s now part of Covoya’s Café Delas program, which supports women producers across Latin America through technical training, financial premiums, and community-building initiatives that help women lead within their farms and regions.

For Duglas, coffee farming is intensely personal. She believes that women’s hands bring something special to the process—particularly during harvest. She still does the picking herself, insisting that ripeness, color, and timing are best judged by instinct, not just sight. That careful selection continues into the processing, where cherries are depulped and fermented for 24 to 36 hours, washed with fresh mountain water, and sun-dried on patios with constant turning for uniformity. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is taken for granted.

The result is a cup that’s soft and comforting yet quietly complex. Notes of milk chocolate and hazelnut are met with the floral sweetness of agave, wrapped in a silky body and gentle acidity. It's a coffee that reflects its origin not just geographically, but emotionally—lovingly crafted and deeply rooted in tradition, care, and pride.

We’re honored to share this beautiful offering from Doña Duglas and her family. It's not just delicious—it’s inspiring.
