The Ethiopia Natural Yirgacheffe Wenago is sourced from more than 850 farmers living in Wenago near the Yirgachefe District of the Gedeo Zone within the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Regional State, Ethiopia. Farmers deliver ripe cherries to the Wenago mill which is owned and operated by Oumer Abudu. Ripe cherries are carefully sorted and placed on raised drying beds in thin layers and turned every 2 to 3 hours during the first few days of the drying process.

Ethiopia Washed Yirgacheffe Aricha G1

Elevation: 1900 to 2100 meters

Milling Process: Fully Washed

 

Drying Process: Raised beds

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Aricha is sourced from 700 small coffee producers organized around the Kebel Aricha coffee mill, located in the Gedeo Zone of the Yirgacheffe district. The Gedeo Zone is named after the Gedeo people who are indigenous to this area. Ripe cherries, typica and indigenous varietals, are delivered to the Kebel Aricha mills. . Coffee is laid on raised beds for 12 to 15 days depending on the weather. The beans are transported in parchment to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, to be milled and bagged prior to export.
